FEEDBACK on EPONYMOUS

Olivia Brownlee’s Eponymous is simple music that doesn’t drone on and on. It’s straight to the point lyrics are what is needed and appreciated in her folk/pop realm. There’s no overshadowing of harsh beats or those lyrics that are fluffed, realism in music is what listeners get with Olivia Brownlee’s sound. Her folk ways shine in “Demons,” while her pop side (not the Britney pop, just the catchy ways) comes through in “Realizing the Rainbow.” A dozen of songs that are worth “Checkin’ Out” and showcase a woman who is “Passionate” about what she does. “What I Wrote When I Woke Up” definitely is the way to cap off the album; heartfelt and honest, standing out above the rest. Musical people who spend their time with Kate Bush and Judy Collins will want to add Olivia Brownlee’s Eponymous to their musical library.
